Your best resort choice starts with the people coming along. Decide who wants lessons, who will ski or snowboard, and how everyone will reach the mountain before comparing tickets.

Start with skis or snowboards

Park City Mountain welcomes skiers and snowboarders. Deer Valley is ski-only. For a mixed group, Park City Mountain is the straightforward starting point.

Choose the right arrival base

Park City Mountain has Mountain Village and Canyons Village bases. At Deer Valley, confirm the arrival location named on your lesson or rental booking. Meeting at the wrong base is an avoidable complication.

Compare the complete day

Look at tickets, lessons, equipment, parking or transit, and your group’s pace together. There is no need to choose solely by resort size or a headline ticket price. Review live terrain and weather reports before each outing.

From Newpark, plan transportation to either resort; the townhomes are not ski-in/ski-out.
